I am a highly creative designer/developer who has a diverse background in client experience and industry sectors. I have a strong eye for detail and can deliver design/build work to tight project timescales on an individual basis and as part of a team. My ideal role would include both design and development work.

Electronic Publishing Coordinator
Responsible for the continuing update and development of websites for the College of General Practitioners including development of online database applications and the Intranet. HTML, ASP and design work.

Victoria Real Limited, Brighton. July - September 2002
Front End Web Developer (Contract)
Built the front end for the Charlton Athletic Football Club website from Photoshop design layouts. Used Java Server Pages to template code and integrate back end XML content system into the HTML. Also built HTML emails for Tesco's Personal Finance and took part in bug fixing on various inhouse projects.

Carlton Interactive Media Limited (Part of the Carlton Communications TV Group), London, October 1999 - October 2001
Designer
As part of the Carlton design team I have worked on a variety of different projects on an individual basis and in conjunction with other designers. Initially I designed sites supporting Carlton TV programmes such as Peak Practice, Mopatop's Shop and Monsignor Renard before spending a year on Carlton's music property The Base. On The Base I produced daily updates, regular features and mini-sites relating to specific music events such as the Festival season. From the beginning I had great input in the style and design on the site and helped establish the irreverent tone which contributed to the site's success. My responsibilities included:

· Interpreting client briefs to produce websites adhering to guidelines of particular corporate brands and programme properties.
· Design and build of websites utilising capabilities of in-house content management system.
· Regular weekly updates of sites
· Production of banner ads for in house and external sites.
· Actively contributing ideas on both design and editorial levels during weekly content meetings for The Base.
· Creation of features and mini-sites on a daily basis for The Base.
· Videoing interviews with bands that were streamed from The Base site.

Freelance Web Designer 1997 - 2002
In a freelance capacity I have worked for a variety of different clients. This involved contacting and meeting potential clients, constructing design briefs, creating graphics and content, advising on hosting arrangements and setting up sites. Three sites were ASP sites linked to relational databases. Clients included BBC, Active Up SPRL, Aurum Design, Danish Design Pet Products, Shropshire Health Services, Middlesbrough FC, York Cemetery Trust, English Wanderer Walking Holidays and Vision Academy Internet Services.

Worked as a researcher locating archive film material for fringe festival events, obtaining promotional material from film and media companies, designing the logo for fringe events, designing the fringe festival website. Worked on own initiative, reporting regularly to organisers.

Designed and implemented database to contain information about burial records and ground surveys from Yorkshire Graveyards for ongoing research project. For 6 months was Print room Manager, tasks included meeting clients, creating camera art work and paste ups, stock control and costing, machine operation and task scheduling. Had to work on own initiative and develop systems for smooth day-to-day running of the print unit.
