Joystick Generation 1999 |
Joystick Generation was the result of a college project to design a '3rd Generation website' as defined in Siegals book "Building Bettter Websites".
The main features being an entrance page, non linear navigation and a site exit. Despite never having ever seen a site exit - except in Siegals book, I managed to incorporate one and kindly send the visitor on their way to the Google search engine.
The site content is constructed on the theme of video games and games systems, and I tried to take a creative approach to the content and cover areas such as video games injuries as well as the history of games consoles.
The site contains a simple flash movie depicting early arcade games as well as a movable 360 panorama constructed in Reality Studio showing a timeline of the development of games systems.
